ASBESTOS BUILDING INSPECTION SERVICES
If
you own a building constructed prior to 1986 or have never been
inspected, it may contain asbestos.
The OSHA regulation 29 CFR 1910.1001 requires owners to know
the condition of asbestos in their buildings and notify their tenants,
vendors and/or employees about presence of asbestos in the building
and their locations. If
you are planning a renovation or demolition, EPA regulations under
National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAP),
40 CFR 61, Part M require you to inspect the building for presence
of asbestos before any renovation or demolition is performed.
Also, all asbestos must be removed prior to demolition of
any building. For
renovation, if asbestos is affected, they must be removed as per
the regulations. Know
the extent of asbestos in your building prior to the start of work.
We
will sample all of the suspect materials in the building; assess
their conditions and quantify them. We offer CAD drawings showing
the sample locations, extent of ACM and damaged areas.
We will make recommendations for how to handle any asbestos
containing materials and provide a cost estimate for repairs, maintenance
or complete removal.
